Day by Day Travel Itinerary





Your journey begins early in the morning with a boat transfer from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you’ll board the scenic train to Morogoro, enjoying views of Tanzania’s landscapes along the way.
From Morogoro, continue by road through the stunning Uluguru Mountains toward Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, check in at Camp Bastian or Tanswiss and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch.
At 5:00 PM, visit a traditional Maasai village where you’ll learn about their customs, daily life, dances, and cultural traditions — an enriching experience that adds depth to your safari adventure.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park.
The Mkata Floodplains are the park’s wildlife hotspot and offer excellent opportunities to spot:
Lions resting under acacia trees
Large herds of elephants
Giraffes browsing the savannah
Buffaloes and zebras grazing
Hippos in waterholes
A wide variety of colorful bird species
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by nature before continuing your game drive until sunset.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy a final morning safari drive for one last chance to capture photos of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife.
After breakfast, depart Mikumi and drive back to Morogoro. From there, board the train to Dar es Salaam, then connect to your boat transfer back to Zanzibar.
Arrive in the evening with unforgettable memories of the African savannah.
