Day by Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Overnight near Lake Manyara
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, traveling through scenic landscapes toward Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours). This iconic park is renowned for its towering baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and impressive elephant herds.
Upon arrival, enjoy a thrilling game drive along the Tarangire River, a lifeline for countless species. Keep your eyes open for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife that make Tarangire a photographer’s paradise.
Around midday, stop for a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your wildlife adventure across the golden plains. In the evening, you’ll head toward the Manyara area, where you will enjoy a hearty dinner and overnight stay in a mid-range lodge or tented camp—surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature.
Day 2:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Overnight near Lake Manyara
After breakfast, continue your safari adventure as you leave the Lake Manyara region behind and journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is an experience, offering stunning views of Tanzania’s diverse landscapes along the way.
Upon entering the Serengeti, embark on an unforgettable game drive across its endless plains. This iconic park is home to incredible wildlife, including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and an abundance of antelope. Depending on the season, you may witness the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the savannah in search of fresh grazing.
The Serengeti is also a haven for predators, and with some luck, you might spot lions, leopards, or hyenas on the hunt. As the sun sets over the horizon, head to your comfortable mid-range tented camp in the heart of the park. Here, you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 3:
Serengeti Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
